We are a small team who deliver services to around 700 people affected by neuromuscular conditions across WA. We are passionate about providing Support for Life to those in our community.

We provide counselling, equipment, social programs, NDIS support and advocacy, alongside funding research to find treatments for the various types of neuromuscular conditions.

We don’t receive ongoing government funding and rely on fundraising and grants to deliver these vital services.

Neuromuscular conditions are a group of rare, genetic (inherited or acquired) conditions that impact the muscles and the nervous system supporting them, causing muscle degeneration and weakness.

Where muscle would normally rebuild and continue to grow, in NMCs once the muscles are damaged they have limited ability to repair.

Its impact varies and can include difficulty walking, lifting, speaking and breathing and shortens life expectancy.

There is no cure.

These conditions affect people of different ages and ethnicity, which not only makes finding a cure difficult, but supporting a diverse community challenging.
